Phraselet No. 132

She could charm anyone when she set out to. I need not have worried about Strohan; he was already her besotted slave. The banquet was a great success and so were all the other receptions, whether at the palace or in visiting the city's nobles. People opened to her, like flowers to the visiting sun.

Okay - this is sad to admit that i regrettably abandoned my blog for about a year, and I just now read your comment from long ago. You probably don't even remember writing it! Sorry I missed your contest :/ I am sure it was fun!

Ah well, if you've read my blog, you already know "I am a terrible person" (google that phrase - I get more traffic on my blog from this *one* post than for anything clever or creative I have *ever* written). :)
When you host your next contest, send me a note at bluesugarpoet@gmail.com

Thanks for stopping by! I truly hope your circumstances have improved. (I read through some of your blog, and it seems as though you had a tough year.)

I'll be sure to email you for next year's Advent Ghosts.

Improved is an understatement. :) Ghost stories are my favorite!

Glad to hear it, ma'am.

By the way, if you're bored you might enjoy checking out the stories from last year's participants.
