Zombies are big. The kids like zombies.
So here's a notion: In 2009, when Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne merged the two companies amid the global financial crisis, he essentially sewed two of the automotive undead together at the hip and then insisted they get up off the table and dance.
"Dance, slaves!" Something like that.
Mr. Marchionne's achievement thus far is to have produced something, anything, other than a very ripe, two-headed zombie.

That's the sort of crisp writing you find in fictional newspapers in books, when the author has time to edit and has deadlines a bit further away than "this Friday." Props to Dan Neil.
Neil somehow manages to make automotive reviews zing week after week. It's impressive.
