Dr. Farber nodded at the specimen. "I've gone all out with your new, ah, weapon, Jim." He ticked the features off on his fingers. "Gene splicing. Psychological conditioning. Enhanced endurance."
"I need silver tongues, doc, lots of them," Smith snapped. "Can it talk?"
The specimen's head snapped toward him. "Safeguard the next generation! Aid the needy! Double your impact!"
Farber grinned. "Fully customizable scripting through a mnemonic Pavlovian --"
"I'll take all you have," Smith said, visions of endowments and football stadiums and new science facilities unfolding before his mind's eye.
Farber indicated the specimen's tie. "Pratt knot or Windsor?"
