I got to know Jeff Caylor when I lived in Colorado Springs. He’s an independent musician who has just released his first video, “Almost Flew” off the album Okay:



You may not think this has a lot to do with writing or genre or narrative, and perhaps it doesn’t. But Jeff’s effort encourages me immensely. He doesn’t have a massive budget or an expansive studio and still he manages to craft a poignant, stop-motion story about a plucky blue bird. The tools at his disposal? Imagination and patience -- worthy traits for any writer.
