Phraselet No. 43

Over the years manufacturers, tailors, designers, and others of an interfering nature have sought to improve the blazer by tarting it up with a western yoke or cuffs, by changing the button stance or adding a half-belt, or by giving it a shawl collar of bi-swing back. These innovators should not necessarily be hanged, but one should for self-protection cross the street whenever they come into view.
