In its enclosure, the beagle munched kibble.

"Explain it," Black Suit said, taking the coffee from Myron without looking at him. He sipped it.

"Nanoparticles are already used in industrial food production. Weaponized, they could induce an embolism, stroke or something nastier."

Myron thumbed the remote in his hand. The beagle spasmed and fell over.

Black Suit frowned. "Transmission's impractical. Wouldn't serve the department's needs."

"But, sir, you could introduce it through any solid. Or liquid."

Black Suit looked at the coffee. Then at Myron.

Myron toyed with the remote. Blood began flowing from the beagle's eyes. "Let's talk funding."
